A distinctly urban experience, the festival brings energy and activity to Winnipeg’s downtown. Each June, more than 40,000 music fans fill the heart of the city to enjoy exceptional live music and the unique character of the historic Exchange District. This year, we’re producing our 25th festival —now the largest downtown music event in Winnipeg.

Dauphin’s Countryfest is Canada’s longest running country music festival. We run annually every July long weekend. This June 26-29 we will be celebrating our 25th Anniversary.

With one of North America’s premier outdoor music festivals as its signature event, the Winnipeg Folk Festival is a year-round, not-for-profit arts organization that presents live music, arts events, and education and outreach programs designed to benefit the community. The Festival also operates a performance space and music store in Winnipeg’s historic Exchange District. The 41st annual Winnipeg Folk Festival takes place July 9-13, 2014 in Birds Hill Provincial Park.
ICELANDIC FESTIVAL OF MANITOBA

The Icelandic Festival of Manitoba is a volunteer organization dedicated to promoting and sustaining interest in Icelandic culture and heritage primarily through the presentation of Islendingdagurinn, an annual family-oriented celebration held in Gimli, Manitoba. This year, the Festival is celebrating its 125th anniversary and is planning a series of special anniversary activities in addition to favourite offerings like the MTS All Stream Viking Village, three free stages of music like the Gimli Alternative Folk Festival and Wondershows Midway and Rides. The Manitoba Electronic Music Exhibition of Technology, Innovation & Creativity (MEMETIC) is the organization that organizes the annual MEME festival and other smaller events and workshops throughout the year. MEMETIC is made up of a group of like-minded people who are passionate about electronic music and cutting edge multi-media art. MEMETIC is dedicated to the dissemination and development of digital creativity in sound, music, and audio-visual art. Its mandate is to provide a platform for the most original and visionary artists currently working in their fields, with the intent of providing an outlet of initiation and discovery for its audiences. MEMETIC has a specific focus on Canadian musicians and artists but also looks to continually nurture international networks so that we can promote electronic music artists from Manitoba to the rest of the world.

The Morden Corn and Apple Festival originated as a community celebration for Canada’s Centennial in 1967 and over the past 48 years has grown into one of the largest street festivals in Manitoba, attracting over 60,000 people to enjoy three days of activity-packed fun. We invite you to enjoy FREE Admission; FREE Hot Buttered Corn-on-the-Cob; FREE Ice Cold Apple Cider; FREE Live Entertainment on three stages: Main, Cottonwood and Youth/Amateur (with top name performers such as Trooper (2013), Kim Mitchell (2012), Little River Band (2011)); FREE Historical Bus Tours; and FREE Shuttle Bus Service. Arguably the largest Parade in Manitoba winds along Morden streets on Saturday morning and Wonder Shows Midway brings out the kid in us all. Other activities include the Sunday Gospel Stage, Old Tyme Dancing, Art Walk, a Vintage Car/Harley Davidson Show and Shine, Mud Racing and Truck/Tractor Pull ... There are plenty of crafts, street vendors and food for all. Kids will have a great time enjoying the activities and petting zoo designed especially for them. It’s family fun at its very best! BreakOut West and the Western Canadian Music Awards are the primary events hosted by the Western Canadian Music Alliance. This year the event will be held in Winnipeg, MB from October 2-5, 2014. The four-day event is comprised of a three-day music conference, a multi-genre music festival, the Western Canadian Music Industry Awards Brunch and the Western Canadian Music Awards Gala. All venues, events, conference panels and hotels will be within a small walk-able geographic area in downtown Winnipeg.

The Festival du Voyageur is Western Canada’s largest winter festival which celebrates the culture and heritage of the Franco-Manitoban community through a wide variety of activities such as live music performances in every genre, visual arts, theatre and dance, traditional crafts workshops and historical interpretation. We also offer year round programming through Fort Gibraltar, a replica of the historic North West Company fur trade fort originally built at the Forks of the Red and Assiniboine rivers.
